About
“When getting help with money, whether it is insurance, real estate or investments you should always look for a person with the heart of a teacher, not the heart of a salesman.”
— Dave Ramsey
When I was in school, I wanted to be a college professor or a coach. Life didn’t work out that way and I spent my first career as an Advertising Sales Executive in the media business. Lucky for me, it required a lot of teaching and coaching on my part. Whether I was developing salespeople to be successful or coaching clients on their marketing and advertising investments, I was always teaching, always encouraging and always motivating people to make good decisions and to improve. I loved it, until the newspaper business began to focus more on reducing staff than investing in their communities. It was then that I began to look for a second career that would require the same coaching and teaching skills.
